After studying art including researching Victorian pre cinema art and graffiti, Sabe moved to London to pursuit her love for tattooing. As a full time tattooist in London, Sabe produced her first set of Flash* prints in 2006 and received a great response from both the tattoo crowd but also from the general public.

Sabe's paintings have since been published in numerous magazines with prints sold worldwide. Her desire is to reach towards the vast public not necessarily moved into getting heavily tattooed but yet attracted to the visual vocabulary of timeless human feelings.

"I'm looking forward to work with Eastpak because for me it will mean stepping out of my comfort zone and it offers the opportunity to engage with the wider public, people that are not necessarily into tattoos. I would like my paintings to be hung quietly in people's houses and to be appreciated when they are looked at, instead of screaming out loud ‘look at me'". Claudia De Sabe


"Not only for the Flesh" is a collection of 8 glicee prints, archival quality on gorgeous Somerset velvet paper that will be on show at the Eastpak Gallery from Friday 11th March. Prices range from £35-£100, originals available on request.

The day ended with an impromptu boys vs. girls breaking battle on the lino...the girls showed the boys how it was done!

This year we added to the party spirit by bringing a taste of the fairground to Carnaby Street with candy floss and an old fairground classic...the high striker!  The queue for the sweet treats quickly formed and didn't let up until the end of the night, and the braver souls amongst the crowds tested their strength on the high striker in an attempt to win some lovely EASTPAK prizes!   

The street was busy all evening with bargain-hungry shoppers and people enjoying the extra entertainment and a fun night was had by all.  The crowds outside EASTPAK were still blocking the street after all the other stores had closed....a successful night indeed!

store and were kind enough to sign the Megadog bag featured in the show which we gave away on the day.  It was won by a very excitable Daisy who ran down to the store after we closed to pick up her prize!  It couldn't have gone to a better
home...

All in all a great time was had by all and customers and the artists had so much fun they wanted to know when we'll be doing it all again!  Keep it locked for more info...

This was one of those times...
 
The vibe got going early as punters and dancers alike arrived eager to get a good spot to watch from or to get warmed up ready to be watched. The night kicked off with the End of the Weak MC’s who performed a wicked freestyle showcase to promo their World Finals (@ Jamm, Brixton on Feb 27th) which was then followed by our first battle of the night: 2on2 breaking!
 
This was the time that I had to announce that our headline act B boy Junior would not be showcasing and as the crowd booed and asked for their money back I added that he would not be showcasing because he was gonna battle instead!  Junior battling was kind of a big deal and you could almost feel the vibe boost immediately. Trying to describe the battle would be like trying to explain the colour blue to a blind man, so I won’t try, except to say that it was a fiercely fought battle which Junior and his partner Roxy did eventually win but not without a fight! We had one of the best semi finals ever between Eastern Kids and Roxy & Junior, in which all 3 judges threw up X’s (to signify a draw) which then lead to a sudden death Throwdown from each pair, check the footage coming soon!
 
After the 2on2 breaking we had a great 2on2 Newstyle hip hop dance battle which Mambo and Ivan won with some great routines and freestyles! Once the battles were over, the vibe stayed strong right up until closing time at 2.30am and we still had peeps dancing out in the street once the club was closed! Each piece will be individually numbered, signature labelled, delivered in custom packaging complete with a special edition Eley Kishimoto Eastpak enamel pin. And with every bag purchase you will be armed with a unique code that will get you access to the ELEY KISHIMOTO Flash club.

For two weeks only we will also be holding a small retrospective Flash exhibition. This is your chance to check out some of the other Flash products including the Bearbrick, Converse shoes and one definitely worth seeing, the Ruby helmet! We will keep you updated on the other products arriving for the exhibition that you can check out from Tuesday 3rd February.

And all you lucky people that come to see us at the EASTPAK Icon store have a chance to get your hands on some very limited edition Eley Kishimoto Flash pieces. One of these is a flash skateboard, complete and ready to roll! We are the only store in the world to stock these products so get in here post-haste!
